Minick and Simpson Trunk Show...

The oh sew talented Laurie Simpson has graciously provided us with three of her quilts to display at the shop!!! All three are NEW quilt patterns from Minick & Simpson. These three beautiful quilts are made using the Moda Fabric collection Indigo Crossing designed by Minick and Simpson (patterns available now, and the fabric arrives soon). Snuggles Quilts Trunk Show on Display...

In the main room of the shop we now have another trunk show for you to enjoy!! Snuggles Quilts has been generous enough to allow us to borrow all eight of the quilts you see pictured. Patterns are available... See YOU at the shop ;-)

BIG NEWS… Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings stopped by the shop yesterday! Lisa is in southern California in advance of next week’s Road to California Quilt Show… Fat Quarters Quilt Shop has ordered EVERY fabric collection Primitive Gatherings has designed for Moda & we carry many of Lisa’s patterns too! Look for Lisa Bongean to be a very special guest instructor at the shop around this time next year!!! She has agreed to teach a class at Fat Quarters Quilt Shop while she is in the area for the Road to California Quilt Show 2014 :)

More BOM News… it’s a Star Spangled Celebration!!!

We have another NEW Block of the Month class starting soon… Our fabulous teaching duo of Linda & JoAnne will be starting Star Spangled Celebration on Monday February 11th. The class will meet on the second Monday of the month for eleven months from 6:00pm ‘til 9:00pm… The class fee is $12 per month. The Star Spangled Celebration quilt has a finished size of about 48” by 71”. Original pattern design by our friends Pat Wys & BJ Laird of Silver Thimble Quilt Company… We have the pattern available for $20. & we have a Starter Kit available for $92. Freedom Rings BOM Class...

Our 1st Freedom Rings Block-of-the-Month class with Kathy was last Saturday... It was a lot of fun as you can see, and it’s NOT TOO LATE to join us!!! We still have a couple of openings left in class! The class will meet on the first Saturday of the month for six more months (YOU still have time to catch up with your classmates:). Class time will be 10:00am ‘til 1:00pm. The class fee is $12.00/month... The Freedom Rings quilt uses the beautiful fabrics designed by Paula Barnes for Marcus and the quilt patterns is by Paula Barnes & Mary Ellen Robinson. NEW Cheri's Picks...

Fat Quarters Quilt Shop is very lucky to have so many fabulous pattern designers live close by and spend time at the shop. A couple of days ago Cheri Payne was in the shop and selected these seven fabrics for her own stash (we may see them in another wonderful Cheri Payne quilt soon:) And when Cheri shops we pay attention… We were busy yesterday cutting fat quarter bundles of “Cheri’s Picks”. This bundle contains seven fat quarters of the fabrics that Cheri Payne chose herself :)

Our 1st Fabric Collection of the NEW YEAR Arrived...

What a great day… The sun is out & the first fabric collection of the NEW YEAR just arrived at the shop ;-) Designed by Little Quilts for Henry Glass Fabrics, how cute are the shirtings in this six bolt fabric line

NEW Patterns from Barn Dog Designs...

Two NEW patterns are now available at the shop designed by another very talented local San Diego area pattern designer… Linda Schaefer of Barn Dog Designs :) We have Linda’s quilt ‘Four Square’ on display in the shop with KITS available too… So stop by and take a look & we will...

Oh this class news is sew exciting…

Oh this class news is sew exciting…  We have a NEW instructor at the shop!!! I took beginning quilt class with her… She has worked at the shop for quite a while now… she is a magnificent long arm quilter… She is Kerri Youngdale & she will be teaching ‘Log Cabin Hearts’ on Thursday January 24^th from 1:30pm ‘til 5:00pm. The class fee is $12.00. 

Finished quilt size is 45” by 45”.

Kerri will also be teaching a Machine Quilting Class on 

Thursday February 21^st from 1:30 to 5:00… Why not take both classes ;-)
